21st February 2012 saw the first in the PMSI Breakfast Series, focusing on unlocking growth in manufacturing.
Each manufacturing job created provides a need for 4 jobs in unrelated sectors. This represents the driving force behind long term investment within the UK and why 2011 has seen the beginning of increased investment across manufacturing. Additionally, engineering capability within western organisations is in demand, because of their experience and ability to unlock growth through performance improvements and asset optimisation

The keynote address was delivered by Mr Alex Stewart, Operating Partner and one of the Founding Partners of Clyde Blowers Capital. CBC has been driving growth through specialty manufacturing across Scotland and the wider UK for a number of industrial sectors, and can easily testify to the value of engineering talent and of growth through specialty manufacturing on the global stage.
CBC has a long and proven track record of directly managing and delivering operational improvements in its portfolio companies. This facilitates a high level of advisory and operational input into, and alongside, the portfolio companies – from which Alex was able to share some of his strategies for success
